Great interest in seminars under the SRFP program

About 70 farmers and representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises from all over Serbia participated in the seminars on IPARD programs organized by Smart IPARD on February 11–12, 2020.

These trainings were held as part of the Development of Financial Systems in Rural Areas in Serbia — SRFP program, funded by German Development Cooperation, implemented by BFC and the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management.

Smart IPARD experts Dejan Serdar and Slobodan Teofanov presented the IPARD program to participants, a financial instrument of pre-accession assistance that fosters agricultural competitiveness and rural development.

They explained the procedures and conditions for applying, presented the results so far and planned public calls this year.
Smart IPARD contributors Dario Balažević and Petrana Odavić provided information on business plans, which are an integral part of the documentation for the approval of IPARD projects. They showed the basics and structure of the business plan and informed the students about the documents necessary for the preparation of these studies.

The seminar was attended by farmers from different fields, as well as representatives of dairies, wineries, companies involved in fruit processing, vegetables…

As part of SRFP’s support in improving the competitiveness of small, medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs in rural areas of Serbia, a series of trainings will be held on various topics, including, among other things, how to write business plans acceptable to banks, government subsidies, financial management, business certification , export development…
